Rare 'Ships' Piano by Cramer Of London.

This is a 'ships' piano manufactured by respected maker ' Cramer of London ' circa . The piano is finished in solid oak, quite small with 68 notes in total [5 octave] and has a folding keyboard in order to fit into confined spaces on board a ship. All of the notes respond as they should and the instrument has been tuned to concert pitch. A very unusual piano and a nice conversation piece. Measures 44 inches [cms] in height, the same in length, 20.5 inches [cms] in depth when keyboard is released, 16 inches [ cms] when folded. This piano was much loved by my husband's grandmother prior to her death - now sadly we have no time to play it and need the space. It was thoroughly refurbished around 20 years ago and the case was repolished. Action is heavy, and it currently needs tuning, with a couple of notes that stick. One key is slightly chipped but it is a lovely piece of furniture that would look impressive in any room! Size (approx) 145 xcm wide (85 keys); 100 cm tall, 125 cm deep. Buyer must collect - note it is extremely heavy due to cast iron frame.
