Due to a recent house move from Scotland down to Warrington, I am selling my much loved dining room table, 8 matching chairs of which 6 are ladder-back and two carvers (with arms) and a matching sideboard which has been in my family for three generations. This stunning Scottish country home/ farmhouse dining set is dark oak, heavily carved with with roses and foliage and consists of: The table: a trestle pedestal table with ornately carved legs, measures 184cm (7'1") long x 84cm (2'9") wide and is 75cm (2'5") tall. It seats 8 comfortably and I have seated 10 at a push. 8 chairs: all reupholstered five years ago in a striped velour. 6 chairs are plain ladder-back design and 2 are carvers The sideboard: is also beautifully carved on the doors and legs to match the table. There are three cupboard sections (Only one original key but I did have a simple modern one cut) and three drawers. It measures 147cm (4'10") long x 51cm (1'8") deep and is 91cm (3') tall. The condition of all pieces is generally good and the table has always had a heat-proof mat and a table cloth on it. There are some water marks on the sideboard which are visible in the photographs. This is real "statement" furniture which it is just not possible to reproduce in any current furniture shops. I have lost track of the compliments it has received over the years from guests in my home. I am keen to see it go somewhere where it will be appreciated for its unusual beauty. This is THE most beautiful dining room table and chairs..you will need a large space to fully appreciate and show of this stunning piece. My only reason for selling is due to a huge downsizing of my property due to a work relocation and hence have sadly many beautiful items to sell.
