Then the sides and footboard can be removed to convert to a toddler bed, suitable to approx age 5. Storage drawer underneath also included. Please note there is damage to the paint along the foot and headboard, as pictured. This does not affect use or safety in any way, and could be repaired by sanding and repainting. This Cot bed is made with white wood. This is my daughters old cot bed, which we used as an extended bed for co-sleeping for just under a year before we moved her to her own room in a new flat where she has an ikea day bed. It has three heights. A new born easy to reach height. A middle height that is easy enough to reach into but not to fall out of and the lowest height, it can then have the sides taken off and be converted into a junior bed. Ours has been taken apart with all screws and parts stored in a bag, and is living under our bed waiting for a good home. There is some chipping in the wood around one of the attachments.
