An as new Cornell Plexi Head with matching Cab with a Celestion V 1x12 speaker. An absolutely amazing amp, hand built in the UK by the amazing Denis Cornell. This amp is incredible and if you're looking for the vintage Marshall sound then look no further. My only reason for sale is that I have two amps and do not have the room or can justify keeping both. I paid to have an extra feature built into this, it's extra attenuation for home use and recording... you can scale the output right down to one watt and the amp still sounds amazing, it just makes it idea for home use on that setting. Peavey Bass Head Amp and Behringer Ultrabass Cab (with original head removed) - The cab unit now plugs into the Peavey head after the Behringer Ultrabass Head went faulty and so I removed it (the outer felt has been taped back after the old head was removed to reduce the overall cab size) - so now 4 original bass drivers which are meaty get driven by the new unit. Marshall JMP 50 Plexi vintage valve amp head, dated by Marshall to or early RECENTLY SERVICED and in full working order. I have owned and used this amp for almost 40 years and I am selling reluctantly now only because I have retired from gigging. The amp has been regularly serviced during a long and active working life. It has therefore undergone some parts replacements, but it retains many original components. I’ve included photos showing the internal electrics and the exterior condition of the case. More pix can be emailed on request. Before offering the amp for sale I’ve had it fully serviced, tested and upgraded to meet modern electrical safety standards. The work was carried out by Chris Taylor at Vintage Amp Services and included a complete re-valve with new Tube Amp Doctor valves, new fuse holders, new safety-compliant standby and on/off switches and a modern I.E.C. mains socket fitted. The mains voltage is hardwired to 240V and the speaker impedance selector to 8ohms. This was for my convenience when the original movable selector inserts were lost. A current equivalent Marshall reissue X head would cost you around £ new. This amp is not a mass-produced reissue, it’s a piece of hand-wired rock ’n roll history from the ’s.
