Set of 4 cordless phone great for elderly
A great cordless phone for hard of hearing users, the Amplicomms PowerTel 700 Cordless Amplified Telephone features a receiver volume 4 to 5 times louder than a standard telephone. Loud and Clear Conversations With Boosted Volume A standard telephone receiver volume is approximately 8 to 10dB. However, with the Amplicomms PowerTel 700, this volume is boosted significantly to 40dB (4 or 5 times louder than a normal telephone). Distortion is also kept to a minimum at this level of amplification ensuring you can hear the voice of the caller loud and clear. The brilliantly clear sound levels have a distortion level of less than 1.5 percent, even on maximum amplification. The phone is even hearing aid compatible to ensure maximum clarity for hearing aid users. The ringing volume of the Amplicomms Powertel 700 also much louder than a standard telephone at 90dB (about the same volume as a pneumatic drill and about 5 times louder than a standard telephone ringtone). This volume is fully adjustable and can be turned down if required. Tone Control - Hear "T"s and "S"s Clearly Again Often, the first element of your hearing that starts to suffer is high frequency hearing. You may notice that you have difficulty distinguishing higher pitched sounds, making words with "T"s and "S"s in particularly difficult to hear. The Amplicomms PowerTel 700 combats this problem by enabling you to control the tone of the receiver, boosting up the higher frequency sounds. Tone control is different from volume control, and provides you with an extra element of assistance to hear loud and clearly again. Flashing Ring Indicator The Amplicomms PowerTel 700 Cordless Amplified Telephone has a flashing ring indicator to alert you that a caller is ringing in. The light is a mini strobe that sits at the top of the telephone above the screen and provides a visual indication that a call is coming in. Hands Free Mode / Speaker Phone The Amplicomms PowerTel 700 Cordless Amplified Telephone also has a handy speaker phone setting. This enables you to use the telephone without the need to hold the receiver. Therefore if you need to free up both of your hands when using the phone, or you and another person want to speak to the person at the end of the line together, you can use the speaker phone function. Please note that the volume of the speaker phone is not amplified beyond that of a standard telephone. Individually they retail for around £75 Ad ID:
