AP Valves, Buddy Commando (Proile) Stab jacket for sale - Size M I used this on numerous dives, but after realising I haven't dived for many years now I am sadly selling all my dive kit. It has always been cared for and washed in freshwater after every dive and stored more recently in a dry garage. AP Valves uses a robust fabric which is far superior to the thin fabric used by many other manufacturers. This is an excellent BCD. The emergency inflation cylinder is definitely out of test and would need to be tested before being used, although it appears to be in excellent condition. The internal bladder is airtight and believed to be in safe working condition, however it would be sensible to get the BCD serviced prior to any serious diving. Given the cheap price compared to new, this would make an excellent intro item for someone new to the sport, a spare for an existing diver, or even a dedicated pool BCD for an instructor not wanting their main one to be affected by chlorine when training beginners. ============= I have also included images of some of the other equipment which I have separately for sale, if any of this interests you then please let me now. I bought all the components separately and have had great results with the full system – see my example photographs. The substrobe is operated by a slave sensor, so I have blacked out the inside of the camera housing to stop any ‘ghosting’ effects from the internal camera flash. When the internal camera flash fires, the fibre optic cable bridges the internal flash to the slave sensor to fire the substrobe. I made up substrobe diffusers simply using plastic milk cartons which perform excellently (included in the package). Otherwise, the substrobe is over-powering without any diffusion. The camera itself is in great condition and while it is not the most current of digital cameras (5 megapixel), it takes excellent shots and can be operated in manual mode as per any standard semi-automatic camera. The Epoque wide angle lens conversion provides great underwater wide angle photography options and screws onto the housing as a ‘wet’ lens – so can be removed while underwater as needed. The camera itself has an excellent macro setting for closeup shots, as close as 5-10mm, so no additional macro lens is required for those close up’s of tiny marine organisms. Note: the re-chargeable batteries need replacing as they no longer hold a charge – I have seen them on google for £7.99. I have tested the camera using standard Duracell batteries and it works fine. I would recommend the user downloads the Olympus Camedia C user manual to understand how to operate this camera in semi-automatic (P) mode to gain the best results. While I have submerged the camera housing before listing to leak test (which was fine), I would recommend any user replacing the main O rings. You will need to apply silicon grease AND ALWAYS ENSURE YOU PLACE A SILICON DESSICANT PACK IN THE HOUSING. I have previously purchased all of my spares (O rings, silican grease, silicon dessicant etc.) from Cameras Underwater by mail order. A fantastic economical package for those progressing from point-and-shoot for high quality underwater photography and who do not have the budget for a brand new set-up.
