Cola is a 22 year old 12.2 liver chestnut gelding Cola was retired from ridden work last year due to suspected arthritis, he is sound out in the field and still up to gentle hacks with a small child but his jumping/pony club days are sadly over, he is equally happy as a field companion. ***ADVERTISING FOR A FRIEND*** Lucy is a 25yr old, Arab x Welsh, palomino, mare who requires a forever home as a companion. She needs a home where she can have daily turnout but does require a stable at night over winter as this is what she has been used to for years and would struggle to completely winter out. She is no longer rideable as she has now been retired for several years and does suffer with arthritis in her hinds. The arthritis does not cause her to be lame but if she doesn't get regular turnout they do swell and she gets stiff, she is not on any long term medication, she is just kept active and wears magnetic straps at night. She is a beautiful girl and loves being pampered and groomed but unfortunately I struggle to spend the time with her with my job and other horses. Lucy is my friends horse, who's daughter lost interest many years ago which is the reason why I took her on and have looked after her ever since. She would benefit from a companion home as she is very sociable or a home where someone just wants a horse to pet and love. 5* star home required and will be vetted. Pringle is a 15 year old 15.3 tb mare. We have owned her for the last 8 years, in which time we showed her at county level including Horse of the Year Show. Her showing career was unfortunately cut short after an injury out hacking (she still has a scar on her off fire from it but no problems) where we then put her in foal and she bred us a lovely colt. She has now been tested as we couldn't get her back in foal and she is now infertile. Although we are more than happy to keep her here with our other mares I thought I would put an advert up for her in case anyone was looking for a companion. She is very easy to do everything with, she lives out all year round without a rug on (although she has access to shelter in the winter) she lives out with other mares but has also lived with geldings. She isn't a bully but would stand her ground if something tried to bully her. She is very loving and would probably love more one on one attention than I can offer her here at the stud. Orion stands around 10hh and is absolutely lovely pony but due to only being 4 years old he needs an experienced home to bring him on in his learning so he doesn't take the mickey. Orion suffers with locking stifle but with work and turnout time it is something that he could possibly out grow, vets have attended his leg and are happy with the progress he has made already. Orion is brilliant to stable and does not threat when he is unable to see another horse however being a herd animal by instinct he has to be re-homed to a home that has horses/ponies already.
