I'm looking for a companion gelding to join my boys. Not bigger than 14.3 please. I want to make sure that my cob has company when we're out and about showing. No serious medical probs please just a retiree. Will not be ridden but will be treated just like the others. Stabled in bad weather but turned out most of the time. 17.2hh Warmblood Gelding - Companion (11 yrs old)

Archie is a gentle giant looking for a forever home as a companion. Good with both mares and geldings, he currently comes in at night through the worst winter months and will live out all summer. He is good on the ground, for the vet, dentist etc and picks all his feet up to be picked out daily. He'll let you groom him for hours and will stand tied up on the yard with no trouble. We've had him for 3 years now and although he has been ridden, (no medical reason why he can't) he is a lot happier as a companion horse as he can be unpredictable under saddle. He is also barefoot and only has to have a trim every 10 weeks or so. Ideally we would be looking for him to be part of a herd like he used to be before we had him and to stay in the Midlands. Companion horse for mare or gelding

Lee is ny beloved 15hh standard bred. Beautiful bay with a quirky personality. I love this horse to bits but unfortunately life struggles have forced me to think about my situation. Ideally for lee i would like to find a home near by the midlands where i can still have a lot to do with him... but he would be a companion horse mainly. I am able to ride him but he is very nervous and has had a lot of time out of work, and as far as i know, never had anyone else on his back. Basically i would like to find a patient and loving home for a very loyal horse where i can still have plenty to do with him. He is fab at ground work and anything natural horsemanship would suit him down to the ground. He probably wouldn't be a ridden horse for anyone else in the near future but he makes a fab field companion. Very low maintenance, lives out, basically eats air and keeps his weight, no shoes and no real issues. I am in no rush and just want him safe and happy!!! Read More

16.2hh TB gelding companion FREE

Matthew is a 16.2hh thoroughbred who has come to the end of his working life. He has been a field ornament now for 4 years after an accident which meant being ridden was pretty uncomfortable for him. He is easy to do, happy to live out all year round with feed, hay and a rug in the winter. He currently doesn't have a field shelter so is pretty hardy for a TB. sadly we have lost our grazing and don't have time to look after Matthew any more so we need to find him a new home as a companion. He can be difficult to catch but food normally does the trick. He has good feet, no health problems, and has lived in very wet muddy paddocks and coped fine. 16years old bay 15.2hh gelding. Hasn't been ridden in serval years but when he was ridden was a bit quirky he was great out hacking but in the school he seemed to get bored and put objections in. He has been turned out for the past three years keeping my youngster company. He isnt on any meds etc. Not prone to lami etc. Good doer. He did have treatment to his suspensry ligaments and treatment for kissing spine but he got the all clear from this from vets I just haven't had the time to bring him back into work as I've had a baby since. Mature Gelding for hacking/companion/retirement home

I'm looking for a loving, long term home for my gorgeous, 15.3hh, bright bay, half Hanoverian gelding. I've had Pride since he was 2 years old and am regretfully re-homing due to his companion being sold and lack of time on my part. Must have previous experience - owned or loaned horses before. He's 24, in good health and looks more like 12. He has a lovely nature, no vices and has taught many kids to ride over the years. However, he can still get a little on his toes when out hacking so may be better suited to a confident rider. He needs very little leg - might be getting on a bit but is no plod! Saying that he will quite happily go around an arena with a child and trot on command, good as gold. He is great in traffic and used to big trucks and tractors passing. He's good with farrier/ dentist/ clipping but doesn't really like to travel after a bad experience so not suited to someone wanting to take him places. I'm looking for someone that will give him the attention he requires into his retirement years and will keep him with company until his final days.
