Edwardian steamer chair for child or dolls/teddies display.

Collectable doll or large toy display chair, I was told this is a child's Edwardian steamer chair. Would make a very unusual low cost Christmas present. The seat looks to have been repaired and upholstered some time ago and I am guessing there was a trim stuck onto the seat, which has since disappeared. This has left a few marks around the edges although they are not very noticeable (see photos) and this does not detract from the charm of this little seat. I am not sure of the wood, but it is very attractive. This could hold one large or two smaller dolls or teddies.
