Lovely Cockerel Looking For A Home!

This lovely boy is looking for a home. He's a Silkie X Araucana, so will carry the olive egg gene. He had the 5 toes of a Silkie, but had to have one removed as it was laming him as a chick. He was born on 15th June & has only just started crowing. He currently free ranges with 7 hens, but we already have a cockerel (his father the Silkie), so this flock is too small for him to have a safe position in the pecking order as he matures. I've been picking him up at night, once he's gone in to roost, but haven't tamed him during the day. He's quite timid & a bit flighty. It'd such a shame to have to cull him. Ad ID:

Lovely young Silkie Bantam hen and cockerel looking for a new home. These two have been with me from being 3 days old and they have been used for animal handling workshops in school, care homes etc. They are friendly, confident and very tame. They are happy to be handled and will sit on your lap for a cuddle! They are great with kids, get on fine with my rabbits and guinea pigs and are unafraid of dogs. They would make great family pets for someone in a more rural setting than me. I will be very sad to see them go, but cockerel, Cloud is getting louder and I don't think my neighbours appreciate him! They are used to being in a coop at night and when I am out, but love to free range when I am around. They will need shelter as they don't like the rain, but don't fly so they are easy to contain.
