Mountain climbing boot, traditional, mens, size 45, plus associated climbing hardware, crampons etc.
These are Dolomite leather mountain boots. My guess is that they are 40 years old and are so solid they will still be around and serviceable in another 40 years, long after many generations of more fashionable boots are landfill. They are not really a walking boot though I have walked in them, for instance up the Cairngorms in winter and my feet were very snug. They are a general high mountain climbing boot. They will take crampons and are also intended for cross country skiing where the boots heft is not an issue. The inners are astonishingly intact. If there was an olympics for boot durability, these would be, although not built for speed, the Usain Bolt of their kind. When you buy these boots you buy not just objects of the highest utility, not just history but the very aroma of an epoch of the highest adventure. If I had the room I'd keep them just to retain contact with that era. These are the boots God would have chosen when creating the universe. In addition are two pairs of adjustable crampons, one deadman belay plate, two ice screws, five rock pitons, one ice hammer, one ice axe and a Whillans sit harness. The main soles have been renewed. Fits in one neat bag, ready to go. Ad ID: Delivery Service Consumer Credit
