30ft. Bermudan sloop designed by Ray Wall, she has a long fin keel and skeg, a GRP hull, sheathed GRP deck and a marine ply/hardwood cabin. She currently has 4 berths in a main saloon and fore cabin. The hull was moulded in but fitting out was not completed (by the previous owner) until when she was first launched. She has been out of the water and covered at Glasson marina, Lancaster, since . Sylfai is an elegant yacht in the folkboat tradition with good seakeeping qualities. Some restoration is required to fit her out for the sea but she would handsomely reward an owner or owners with the required time, enthusiasm and skills to carry out the work. Selling due to to many children. 4 berth sea toilet brand new mast and boom sails included. rolling reef included but never been fitted. boom has a rolling winch. keels recently refinished johnson 15 engine. (value £600) just had the carb rebuilt and can be seen running. fuel and fresh water tank included boat has been adapted so the engine drops through the old rudder hole and the rudder has been fitted to the rear making it an “inboard” engine. trailer included but this is not road worthy, it would do as a yard trailer. it does need “refitting” inside as most of the wood was rotten. the hull is rock solid. it does need work and the price reflects this.
