These classic speakers have been carefully looked after throughout their lifetime. Build quality is excellent, consequently, they sound as impressive today as they did in the mid 80's when they where new. Their frequency response of 45Hz – 20kHz (+/- 3dB), is impressive considering their compact size. Fitted with original Grills that are in very good condition, the speakers are in overall superb cosmetic condition (no chips, scratches or dings on visible surfaces) with all original drivers and crossovers working perfectly. Specifications: Drive-units: 1.25 copper-dome tweeter, 6.5 Kobex-cone (PVC) woofer. Crossover frequency: 2.3kHz, second-order, 12dB/octave slopes. Sensitivity: 84db / 1 watt at 1 meter (free space conditions), Frequency Response: 45Hz – 20kHz (+/- 3dB), Nominal impedance: 8 ohms, Amplifier requirements: up to 120W on program. Spendor Prelude Up for a sale are these pair of classic BBC-type monitor speakers. Sound quality is actually really impressive. They are accurate, great soundstage and very low but tidy bass. Exceptionally 'fast', amp-friendly, may be a good match with valves. Over-all really great fun speaker and incredible value. The cabinets have a few knocks and bruises but they still look presentable. The most important thing is how they sound. They are becoming very sought after now so you would be wise to buy them now before the prices start to rocket.
