Dining set. Extending table and four chairs
This is a colonial style dining set from the late 80s'. Consists of four solid hard wood chairs, with carved backs, plus an extending dining table. Table can be either used as a circle, or extended with either one or two leaves by inserting them in the middle. It has a highly polished finish and a lovely grain - see photos Measurements: Chairs stand 35" high at the back x 19" at widest across back. Table stands 30" high. It can be placed in two positions... It is 42" in diameter when in the 'circular' mode. When extended into an 'oval' it is either 65" long with two leaves or 54" long with only one inserted. Condition: There are two small indents to the polished table top. Each is about 5mm long. Don't really spoil the look overall, but just mention it to be fair. One chair has some wearing to the seat where the varnish is rubbed away, this would be completely covered if you use tie on seat cushions as we have done. The other chairs do not have this wear. All chairs have a little wear to the top edge of the backs, only to be expected of a used item of this vintage. Read More
