Stunning quality Mahogany oval extending table with 2 central column legs with 6 brass feet and a little brass wheel under each foot for easy movement. The minimum length of the table is 1.63 mtrs (5ft 3ins) as shown in the pictures with a leaf extension to maximum 2.17mtrs (7ft 11ns). The width is 1mtr (3ft 3 ins) and It seats up to 8 people comfortably, but we have had 9 seated. The 6 elegant high back chairs are unique reproduced Ribbon back Chippendale style with very good quality upholstered seats. This is ideal for a family Christmas. This is a good set of 4 Edwardian Chippendale style dining chairs weve just bought from a local house. The chairs have general wear and tear but are all solid. The only real faults are the chair seats are a bit grubby. This is easily remedied with a bit of fabric shampoo. The seats are the drop in type which means its very easy to change the covering fabric. This is a good solid set of antique dining chairs with years of life left in them yet. A superb, quality set, of 12 matching Chippendale, reproduction dining chairs (ALL Chippendale chairs are reproduction no matter of what age unless you are paying many 100's of thousands of pounds for the real thing, if you can find any). I can't be certain as to their age so I will not pretend as to this although they definitely have some age to them. It is very unusual to find a set of 12 dining chairs of this quality. (10 singles and 2 carvers) The carving, as can be seen in the photographs, is excellent. The chairs feature shaped serpentine head rails with a delicately carved shell design to the centre. The chairs are solid with no loose legs etc. Exquisite carved open fretwork backs. Refined pierced central splats. Drop in seats which are very easy to recover. Carved' scroll cabriole legs. Ball and claw feet. Rear legs are flared at the foot (a sign of quality). Heavy chairs again a sign of quality. Gadroom moulding to the front apron of the seat. Rich dark mahogany colour and patina.
