LARGE CLOISONNE' VASE- Solid Brass with Enamel - Would make a wonderful lamp if converted
This gorgeous large vase is cloisonne' on solid Brass. Featuring two charioteers (with passengers) and two horsemen, it was made in China, probably within the 20th Century. Cloisonne' is the technique of soldering fine brass wires or strips to the solid brass base. The resulting channels are then filled with hand-applied hard enamel. The colors on this vase are Turquoise, Cobalt and medium Blue, White, rusty Red, Brown, Chartreuse, Green, Black, Grey and Salmon Pink. The vase has a graceful shape, with a deep flared neck, onion shaped body and tall pedestal base. The rim and the inside of the neck are polished Brass. The bottom of the vase is solid Turquoise enamel with no marks. The vase stands cm) high. The pedestal base is cm) deep. The top opening is cm) wide and the vase circumference, at its widest, is cm). This beautiful, statement vase is in excellent condition, with no dents, scratches or missing enamel. It could be converted to make a wonderful large table lamp. Please phone me on and ask for Cat.
