Click here to view this lot This is a beautiful Japanese Medal, related to the Japanese invasion of China in World War II. This is a so-called China Incident medal. The medal is in perfect condition, the box slightly used with some spots, 100% original!Complete with the rare brown box. You see the medals still sometimes, but the boxes are surprisingly hard to find.The China Incident medals were awarded in the period during the Japanese invasion in China. The front shows crossed flags, the Imperial Chrysanthemum symbol and a prominently featured crow. The back bears mountains, clouds and waves. The text translates as "China Incident". The colours of the ribbon are symbol for: -Two colours blue: the sea and the navy -Beige for the soil of China -Pink for the blood-soaked Chinese soil. -The thin red stripe in the middle is for blood and loyalty. A beautiful medal with an important historical meaning that is difficult to find in Europe Offered from historical point of view for study purposes (hobby) historians and/or museums.
