Saracen Tufftrax 29er Hardtail Mountain Bike

I am selling my Tufftrax 29er Hardtail Mountain Bike. I've had the bike since early , and it's been used mostly for commuting on Edinburgh and West Lothian's tarmac roads, but also for the odd woodland trail. I am moving to Stockholm, and I won't have space to store a bike. I apologise in advance for the darkness in the pictures. I leave for work when it's dark and I return when it's dark, and I don't spend my weekends in Perth, so it's impossible to get a picture in the day light! It has seen its fair share of action, so it's a little bit battered in places, which makes it a good project for someone who is better at fixing and reassembling bikes than I am. The price is a reflection of the condition of the bike, which is still in a good enough condition to ride (I rode it from Letham to Perth Post Office Depot in Craigie this morning). - The frame itself is solid, lightweight and I've had no troubles with it whatsoever. - The tyres are in good condition, and I replaced the rear less than six months ago. - The brakes work perfectly, and I have no problems with them - Suspension is working fine, although the little switch to adjust the suspension has the tip chipped off. It's still easy to adjust without it, though. - The bike comes with a pannier rack and a set of saddlebags, which I paid £40 for. I'll also throw in a pair of lights, a tyre pump and a repair kit. I will list the areas that you will likely wish to address below: - Handgrips are in decent condition, but the left one is missing its cap, which can cause it to slowly slide down the handlebar. It's never even come close to coming off, though. - The metal pedals are warped and need to be replaced. - The chain is a bit rusty, having been sat in the shed since early December. It still works, but it's never good to have a rusty chain. - The gears have seized up over the winter. Changing gears was surprisingly tricky for me over the course of my trip this morning, but I was able to do it eventually. - The saddle is worn at the very end. This was (and I'm not kidding) after I found out that crows outside my work had landed on it and were pecking away at the leather. The elderly lady I bought if from 2 years ago sold it to me after her late husbands death (who used it only twice a year to go to pub with it) Hence it's in excellent condition. Always stored indoors - no rust. It has been serviced recently and all works very smoothly. The wheels are true. There are 18 speeds and shimano gear shifters are spot on. The pictures don't do the bike justice as I took them after cycling in the rain. It has been throughly cleaned since. A great bike for someone who needs a reliable bike that can take any pothole and won't fall apart for years. It won't attract too much attention from bike thieves either. Selling due moving abroad.
