Good Sturdy Wheel Barrow Style Chicken House/Coop/Run Approx 2 years old, designed with ease of moving to a fresh patch of ground in mind. One end is lifted up and then it can be moved around on the wheels, the end panel lifts out to make it lighter and also to gain access to the feeder. The run is made of good quality 1/2 x 1" weld mesh. For 4/5 Chickens or 6-8 bantams depending on size. It comes complete with feeder and drinker. The feeder hangs under the sheltered end of the run out of the weather. The house Section has a nest box and perches which lift out and and a slatted floor which lifts out for ease of cleaning. The slatted floor lets the droppings through making it very low maintenance. The roof of the house allows for good ventilation, essential for chickens and lifts up for access. There is also an access hatch on the top of run to enable access to the house door. The end of the run lifts away to access the sheltered/covered food area at the other end of the run. I have creasoted it with original creosote yearly and have just given it a fresh coat inside and out, this also kills and keeps away the red mite. Although I have used it for a couple of years it is in good sturdy condition and will go on for many years yet. Could also be adapted for most other small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs. Made with good quality tantalised wood, screwed and bolted together. the wheels have bearings so very free wheeling. So much better built than the cheap imported ones you can buy which don't last long at all (trust me I know!) Collection only, you'll need a fairly large vehicle/Trailer to transport this. NEWLY BUILT LARGE CHICKEN COOP/HEN HOUSE/RABBIT HUTCH... in

My wife purchased a chicken coop online for which she paid over £100. On arrival we took it over to my daughters, unpacked it & found that it was made of that cheap nasty wood that is passed off for fence paneling. It was cracking up before we had even started to assemble it & would have blown away in a strong wind. It was less than half the size of this one & was total rubbish! It was duly returned as being totally unsatisfactory, so hence the following. Please read on. I made this chicken coop/hen house for my daughter but just before finishing it my daughter lost the land that she was renting, so now it has to find a new home. The coop is made out of 20mm thick tongue & grooved floor board throughout, the frame being made of 65mm x 45mm wood. All wood is new except the ramp. It has been designed so that it can be taken apart for transportation i.e. Each side is a separate panel which has it's own frame, the frames then being fastened together with coach bolts. The roof is also a separate panel with it's own frame & is easily lifted off/on. The legs are pre-drilled to take extensions to give more height & so that the extensions can be of any length to suit uneven ground. There is a large door (as pic) on the one side to make for easy access/cleaning etc. There are two sliding vents (as pics) one in the door & one in the opposite wall. The vents are covered on the inside with galvanized mesh. The entrance/exit for the chickens is by way of a counter balanced sliding door. This can be left in any position between fully up & fully down. Useful if more ventilation is required. There are four nesting boxes on the rear wall (as pics) these contain four bowls as I'm advised that this is a nice easy way to keep things clean. There is a drop down lid (as pics) to the nesting box supported by heavy duty galvanized chain in the down position. Nest box lid is lockable using a padlock to the fitted hasp & eye. (Nesting box can be taken off for transportation.) The main door is also lockable using a padlock through the bolt eye. The roof of the coop & nesting box have been covered with new roofing felt. The exterior has been painted with three coats of Ronseal (does what is says on the tin) Fence Life paint, which they boast a 5 year protection guarantee. Inside the coop is a perch arrangement that just hooks on to the wall. The perch will go with the coop if required or you can use your own. A new piece of cushion flooring has been placed on the floor, this can go with the coop or not as required. Measurements are 150 x150 cm. Height at highest point is 150 cm.
