Silberschmuck in traditioneller Handarbeit hergestellt und mit den verschiedensten Schmucksteinen, nach überlieferten wie auch modernen Designs verziert, wurde meiner Kenntnis nach im deutschen Markt nocht nicht, oder nur geringfügig angeboten. Mein Interesse, die Situation des deutschen Schmuckmarktes hinsichtlich des Vertriebs dieser mexikanischen Schmuckwaren zu analysieren, war geweckt. Diese Idee, welche während des zweiten Praxissemesters in Mexiko entstand, reifte während der letzten zwei Semester an der Fachhochschule zu dem Thema der vorliegenden Arbeit.
