It is with regret I offer for sale my flock of Castlemilk Moorit sheep. They are all pedigree registered animals with certificates. They are listed on the rare breed survival trust website. I bought them to help conserve the important genetic diversity of this ovine family, and thus price is not as important to me as finding the right home for them. When I bought them they were very wild but with perseverance I have trained them all to come to a bucket and behave. The meat is a premium product and the fleeces fetch £10 each which offsets the lower carcass weight for more information please see. We are dispersing our mixed sheep flock due to starting breeding Pure Blue Face Leicester and Suffolk Sheep. The entire mixed flock is offered for sale as a complete lot, comprising of 36 adult sheep and 28 of this years lambs. This is a mixed flock of set up for both breeding and terminal lamb production, so could give you a good supply of both future breeding stock and meat animals. The flock is made up of; 4 Suffolk x ewes aged 2 to 4 years, with 3 lambs and 4 male wethers; 9 Texel x ewes agede 2 to 4 years with 12 Lambs and 3 male wethers; 1 senior 3 year old Texel x Tup; 1 Junior 2 year old Texel Tup; 3 Herdwick X 2 year old Tups (used as sweepers) 3 2 year old Herdwick x ewes with 1 lamb; 7 Broken mouth Herdwicks (will lamb again next year), 1 three year old Herdwick ewe, 1 two year old Herdwick ewe and 11 Herdwick lambs. I have a large amount of poultry equipment and coops for sale. There no longer needed as I sold the remaining birds of my flock and just need to disperse the rest of the poultry equipment.
