Practical set of two folding chairs, Italian design. Easy to store. Giancarlo Piretti was the chief designer and head of the development department at Anonima Castelli. Piretti designed the successful folding chair Plia in . Piretti redefined the folding seat because of his invention of the hinge with 3 disks. This invention is seen by many as a stroke of genius. The combination of chromed metal and semi transparent plastic made this chair into a true cult object. This folding chair is also displayed in the design department of the MOMA in New York. The Plia has, among others, won the German Gute Form prize in . Measurements: height is 89 cm, width is 47 cm, seat height is approx. 42 cm and seat depth is 40.5 cm. Seat and back are made of plexiglas. These folding chairs are in reasonably good condition, considering the age. Some scratches here and there and signs of wear on the Plexiglas.
