Bought this for £200 new a couple of years ago as we rented a farmhouse with filthy carpets and I wanted them cleaner before our toddler was crawling. This did the job - the change in the carpet colour was shocking (quite disgusting what comes out of them) and it was cheaper than hiring a carpet washer for a week or so! You fill the removeable top water tank, add some sort of carpet solution (or not) if you want to, then switch it on. Its heavier than a normal vacuum but easy even with my duff wrist; you hold the trigger down to spray and it automatically 'hoovers' up the water. Works on some hard floors e.g. vinyl to but not all. Then you remove the bottom collection tank to empty out the mucky water - prepare to be amazed! Also very handy for cleaning the car or sofas/ stairs etc after the kids spill stuff on the seat etc- has a hand-held hose & brush attachment. It has a used collection tank and a brand new unused clean one they accidentally sent me, so keep 1 as a spare. Sorry the used one isn't clean but we don't have a hose here which is what I usually cleaned it out with. It needs a wipe down as has been in neighbours garage since we moved here but is in perfect working order. Slightly scuffed etc on outside and some of the stickers have come off but thats it. I'll try to find the instructions but it is very simple & probably online anyway or I can show you. We are now in a tiny house so I don't have the space for it and can borrow my mums now we are closer to her (hers is 8 years old and still perfect). Can be seen working.
