FORD TRANSIT 2.4 RWD CAMPERVAN SPARES OR REPAIR Van been stood over winter, box wires get hotv Put battery back on other day, and van would not start,it had started up first time every time before I stored it for the winter, van would not start, checked connectors turned out it had a loose earth connection, and due to the bad earth a split/ burned cable (the small one that runs with the main electric supply to fuse box).. the glow plug supply had split so Reconnected it.. Van will start intermitantly, but fuse box wires get hot, so unsafe to drive. also no dashboard lights,indicator lights, horN, dash lights. I have been told it is all due to the wiring in the fusebox, And the other problem, its a isuue with the fuse box/wiring as moving the fuse box can make dashboard lights flash on, -------------------------------------------------------- WILL NEED RECOVERY/ TOWING DUE TO ELECTRAL FAULT ----------------------------------------------------------- VAN HAS BEFORE IT WAS STORED I HAD, BOTH FRONT WHEELBEARING REPLACED BOTH FRONT DISC/PADS REPLACED IT HAD NEW EXSAUST LAST SUMMER ALONG WITH NEW STARTER MOTOR 2 KEYS THATCHEM 1 ALARM IMBOLALIZER FRONT BULLBAR 4X EXTENDED ARCHES 4X ALLOY WHEELS, WITH VERG GOOD TREAD TYRES SECURITY LOCKS ON BOTH DRIVERS AND PASSANGER DOORS. Great camper, starts up first time every time. A fair bit of work has been done in the garage, full breaking system has been replaced plus Oil cooler and related pipes. It has a spare tyre, a 3rd small seat that can be fitted into slots behind the passenger seat and 2 x awnings. 1 of them being a drive away awning. We have decided to have a caravan now as we have recently got a bigger car. There are a couple of things we haven't done to the campervan yet. The drivers window winder needs replacing and the lock on the side sliding door (it works from inside but can't unlock from outside) so we use the back doors to go in and out.
