Vintage steel road bike with Campagnolo groupset
For sale here is a steel racing bike that would date to the s. The sizing is 56cm top tube (centre to centre) and 56.5 seat tube (centre to centre). The frame has been destickered, so I am not sure of the make, but I'm pretty sure it is Columbus tubing - it's not heavy, low end junk - and the location of where the tubing sticker used to be would suggest Columbus. The paintwork is a bit scruffy however, and there is some surface rust here and there, such as under the top tube and on the stem. It has a full Campagnolo Mirage groupset comprising headset, front and rear derailleurs, crankset (170), shifters/brake levers and hubs (which are on Mavic rims). All of it is working fine, the only fault is a broken microadjuster on one of the brake callipers, but this does not affect operation and you can still adjust the callipers through the cable bolt obviously. Other parts include ITM bars and stem and Zefal bottle cage. The wheels could do with a tweak with a spoke key but they aren't much out of true. Everything is working as it should - gears are changing fine and the brakes work. It is pictured without pedals, but I can supply some basic ones if you want them. I bought it a while back as I was going to use the groupset on another bike but plans changed as they often do! Pick up is from Harringay N8 between Manor House and Turnpike Lane.
