Restoration project. A rare opportunity to acquire this BSA Golden Century racing cycle circa with five speed campagnolo gears, Brooks narrow leather seat and BSA quill-type pedals, continental hub wheels, centre pull brakes and BSA crest. The only non original parts are the mud guards and brake pulls Needs new tyres otherwise it is mechanically sound. There is some wear and tear as you would expect on a bike of these age which I have owned from new. The condition is therefore as seen in the photographs. Vintage WW2 BSA racing bike for parts

For sale is a lovely antique bike in working condition. Made by BSA, it has the original and distinctive carbide gas lamp and Lucas bell. The rear wheel is very unusual, having a fixed cog on one side and 3 single speed cogs on the other rather than the usual one. Original tyres were rotted away, so I replaced them with whitewall tyres. Saddle is a sprung Brooks B66 in great condition. Lovely tin headbadge as pictured and distinctive BSA emblrm chainwheel. Frame has original paint with great patina. Chrome loss to stem, but I will include another from the same period in much better condition! Everything moves freely, I have been using this bike to commute to work daily. It would also be a great decorative piece for a shop or cafe. Lovely old BSA bicycle. Have spent allot doing it up in the past. All chrome is outstanding except for rear wheel but still not bad. Frame has some blemishes but to be expected from an old bike. All original parts except for the saddle and handlebar grips. It is rideable with a comfortable seating position. Sturmy Archer 3 speed hub in good condition however only 2 out of 3 work but that’s just a matter of fiddling with the tension of the cable. Old stirrup brakes work pretty good. Frame size is 23” and wheels 28”

  Vintage Bsa Road Bicycle

Froggy's vintage cycles refurbishes and restores bicycles to their former glory. Frames are always original and parts used are either period in look or age to ensure they in keeping with the period that the cycle is from.   This BSA frame was sand blasted, acid dipped and repainted professionally.. You will struggle to find a better paint job. It is a size medium which would suit people from 5'6" to 5'10" approximately. All parts have been carefully selected to be in keeping with either the period or what could have been fitted to the bike at that time.   The bicycle features an original BSA crank with the BSA logo incorporated, campagnolo Nouvo record rear mech, rigida chrome lux rims with period French tyres, deda brown handlebar tape, dia compe period brake levers which are drilled, Raleigh period brake calipers and matching brown cabling all round. A 5 speed rear cassette finishes off the drivetrain nicely. Forks are Reynolds 531 steel and the frame is Raleigh carbon steel, which makes this a pretty light steel frame considering it is from the 's. This bike is ideal for the discerning enthusiast who wants to add a vintage steed to their collection, but is just as useable for a bit of touring.   The only thing missing for this bike is a set of pedals, which the new owner will have to purchase.   Grab a bargain and   a unique vintage bike for a bargain price. Stand out from the crowd on this piece of history.   I have included a photograph of the old frame prior to sand blast and paint.   No returns accepted, frame doesn't come with a guarantee due to age.
