Sketching where Land meets Sea in Woodbridge

Sketching from life is the most effective way to develop your artistic eye. It is hugely enjoyable but it can be daunting, especially around boats and water. Marine artist Claudia Myatt will help you to develop your drawing skills and share her techniques for drawing boats, mud, moving water, waves and all things coastal. There will also be tips for improving your confidence for drawing in public! The workshop takes place mostly in Art Safari's riverside studio, where there is a wealth of material to be seen from the balcony and around the quayside. We will also be taking a trip to the coast at Felixstowe Ferry for a contrasting session on sketching beaches, open water and beach huts. If you want to make a weekend of it, Woodbridge Regatta takes place on Sunday 26th June - plenty happening on the quayside and good sketching opportunities!
