British Army Issue PARA Smock - Parachutist Smock

For sale is a British Army Para Smock, ( pattern) Issued/Used - but in great condition, minor wear and fading as expected from ex/used military clothing Size Label is missing, i believe it was (height/chest in CM) LARGE Highly sought after combat smock/Jacket with wool cuffs, And is the modern equivelent of the old Denison Para Smocks. I personally used one of these (with doneky tail removed) for a few years while serving as my main field jacket. Each one of these ages individually with the wearer and so each becomes unique. History of this Smock: this smock was original owned and used by a member of the Royal Marines, and was used in training and on Operations in Northern Ireland and Bosnia. For Sale is a Vintage SWEDISH ARMY ISSUE Windproof Snow Smock, Size label says 50 (very generous Large size) (designed to be worn over winter clothing) used and vintage, (see photos) good overal condition, but does have a few small cosmetic holes in one cuff 100% Heavy duty windproof cotton, Over jacket/smock, it has a large hood and 2 big hip pockets. I customized two of these as a project with the intention of using them for camping/bushcraft, but i'm senti-Mental-ly attached to my Falklands War Issue DPM Parka, So figured i would sell these on to somebody would use and abuse them properly. I HAVE; - Dyed it BROWN - Replaced the buttons with wooden ones - Added a hood retainer (so hood can be rolled up) - Added Paracord and Drawcord Locks The snow smock is a large oversized windproof garment, the military issue to troops operating in arctic to be worn over a regular uniform, to provide both camoflague and wind prtotection. Fashion designer Nigel Cabourn has listed the swedish snow smock in his archive as one of his design inspirations that he used to base several of his works on. Its a Classic/timeless design.
