My beautiful 11 year old cat Kiki is cream British shorthair with the most stunning orange eyes (surely) in the world. We have had Kiki for 9 years and until the last 6 months she has been perfect. Sadly though she now has a "runny tummy" at times and can miss her litter tray on occasion. I have had her tested for bloods/faeces and both tests came back all clear. It may be that this is a fore-runner to lymphoma but without intrusive surgery the vet cannot be sure. It is upsetting for me to part with her but quite frankly I can no longer cope with sorting out the mess on my landing carpet. I work full time and am looking after my very sick mother plus it is just not fair to my children to have this problem too. It may seem heartless to even consider rehoming her but I really need our girl to go to a home with hard floors and a true cat loving person who is not phased by this. I know it's a long shot and my first thoughts were euthanasia but a friend suggested that given her adorable nature (she has NEVER scratched or bitten any of us even my boy when he was 4 years old and not cat savvy) and her love of people (she talks to you by the way!) there might JUST be that super special person who can give Kiki the love she deserves. I would prefer a home without children for her as you might get to the stage I am at with her (!) if you are retired even better. You will never be alone with Keeks. She will greet you at the door and pat you for a fuss. As you can see she is good with dogs (and rabbits!). She is largely an indoor cat, only ever going out into our high walled garden and therefore please do not consider her if you want a "proper" cat.
