Forty Plus Mark 2, Longshaft Seagull Outboard motor. Serial Number FPL4DD5 Excellent runner with good water pump and flow (see picture of engine running). Normal to start on 2nd pull and runs smooth and sound giving plenty of power for its weight. Manufactured: April HP: 2-3 (Approx) - happily pushes my 18' Bilge keeler along no problems. Ignition: WIPAC Mk2 Fuel/oil mix ratio: 10:1 (note this particular engine can be run at a 20:1 mix by adjusting the carb needle should you wish) A good condition engine that happily runs and will be seen running on collection. Minor rusting on the drive shaft leg but otherwise a lovely little engine that will happily push you around all day long. I recently cleaned the magneto points & carburettor and put in fresh fuel & oil mixture and it started up. It needs repair or replacement of the throttle lever (a temporary fix has been made), replacement of propeller split-pin, and it has surface corrosion. It comes with a sturdy mounting bracket. Vintage British Seagull Featherweight Outboard Engine in

Selling as spares or repair as it did run but carburetor needs adjustments & fuel tank & lines need cleaning. Does turnover & produces a good spark. I'm no outboard mechanic but could be an easy fix for the experienced. These are collectable engines as they are small & lightweight & produce 1.5 to 2hp ideal for small dinghies. Cosmetically not immaculate but has a lot of character. Sold as seen in pics. Cash on collection & don't waste my time please !!
