15" Yellow Fire Eel and Marble Eel for sale

1 x 15" Yellow Fire eel. He has absolutely no red markings on him at all (very rare) and is a very friendly and docile fish once he is established in his aquarium. Feeds from the hand and allows you to stroke him. He is 3 & a half years old and in great condition. Requires a very large tank as I am certain given the right environment he will grow huge! He does require a vessel of some kind to sit in (be it either horizontal or vertical) and an area that he can retreat to if necessary. He will not burrow in the substrate / sand unless he is extremely stressed or scared. He will only eat large bloodworms (frozen variety as the live ones are often too small and he will turn his nose up at them). He can only go to a home with a real fish enthusiast who will provide him with a fabulous home and who will really enjoy him. As silly as it sounds, this fish does build a bond with the person who feeds him and once this is established, he will notice the 'feeder' when he / she comes into the room. Fire eels do build great relationships with people given the right opportunity and time and this one has been hand fed since he was an inch long so it is vital he goes to a home with a person who will continue the relationship! He will also be sold with a 11" marble eel. He spends most of his day in the sand with just his head poking out. As soon as he is hungry or knows blood worm are about though, he is out of the sand and flying round the tank. He is a beautiful pale lilac / white colour and looks like a very thin snake in the water! The fire eel has no problem with him (they eat together) and i would like them to go to a new home with each other. I have had him around 1.5 years and again he is in great condition. Large Fire eel

I have a healthy 2 foot long chunky fire eel for sale. Have had him from a baby, will eat from your hand frozen muscles or frozen/live shrimp. Selling due to him outgrowing my current tank 240ltr. New owner must have a large tank as these fish can grow up to 3ft in length with a very thick and powerful body. He is housed with rainbow fish and so can be placed with other fish just not too small as he may consider them food.
