Boxwood single key flute made for me by Phiilip Gruar some 20 years ago. 440 pitch. This is a lovely flute with a sweet tone made by Philip when I owned Windband shop in Shrewsbury, sadly I no longer play due to arthritis,. The wood has been cared for over the years with applications of almond oil and has matured to a lovely patina, it is in a solid mahogany case. I cannot remember now which, but it was a copy of an original baroque flute. Philip maybe better known for making northumbrian pipes but it shows wonderful craftsmanship, I will regret selling it. HOWEVER it occurs to me that like most musicians we always like to try other instruments and I have found that diatonic accordion/melodeon button are easier on my hands and I can continue to make music if anyone has a good D/G or A/D or A/D/G they would like to exchange in some way please contact me with details..
