This camera is absolutely brilliant. Has never let me down, performs as new and for the range of cameras it came from it was definitely the best of its time and still competes with many newer DSLR's from today. The 50mm f1.8 Nikon lense is an absolute must as an accompanying lense, the depth of field achieved while using it is amazing, and for portraits i wouldn't use anything else. It also comes with a battery grip which attaches to the bottom (as can be seen in an image), this makes it great for taking portrait images with a separate shutter release button and exposure dial on it.
