Boosey and Hawkes Emperor Bb clarinet, ebonite body

Boosey and Hawkes Emperor Bb clarinet, with ebonite (not grenadilla) body, in very good all round condition, and recently serviced. Made in England. The intonation and sound produced by the ebonite version is every bit equal to its far more common grenadilla sibling, but has the advantage of being unaffected by temperature or humidity. Originally produced for army bands which are often required to play outdoors in the rain, and in tropical locations. Note that ebonite is a hard rubber compound - this is NOT an inexpensive plastic clarinet, the two materials are often confused!
