I bought this mirror about 20 years in an antique shop but it has sat in the loft for s while, hence selling ma It has been handpainted on the reverse, depicting two flags of the Suffolk 12th regiment. To the top of the mirror is the crest of Gibralta, where the barracks where based. Its inscribed with a list of places where the batallion fought includin Transval, South Africa. Underneath the flag there's an inscription " with fondest love to all at home". The main inscription tells of two regiments under the brown during the Boar war. It measures 43 x 50 cm and can be collected from SE1. Read more

Boer War/WW1 era Belt Pouch (for Sam Brown?) in Milford

A really nice quality leather belt pouch with brass fittings. I assume it would be used with a sam brown belt but I am unsure of it's purpose, possibly a cartridge pouch or cleaning kit. It came with some wool stuffed inside so I have left it there, unsure of purpose. A small amount of stitching has come loose on the belt strap but it is still very strong. It's in great condition for being certainly around 100 years old or more. Asking £65 including delivery with tracking number given. (Offers considered)
