Ring Speed Boat 20ft V8 Inboard Project Boat

Ring Speed Boat - Bought as a Ring Extreme 21 but since been told it is a Ring 20. Paid £6k for it as a shell with electric and engine but no finishes, thousands spent on it but due to bereavement has sat since and has deteriorated. Letd get the bad bits out the way - The engine appears seized so either needs complete overhaul or new engine?? The wood around the engine cover has rotted and needs replacing. Some of the paint has cracked altho only noticeable up close. The wood on top of the trailer is ok for now but needs replacing. There is some cracking where the Volvo Penta is sealed onto the boat Good bits Tyres all look ok (one was bad but I have just replaced it in August for a new one) Everything was totally stripped out and replaced. Boat for sale Great project boat 33ft very wide A beautiful retro broads cruiser It is a bit of a project  However is a good solid boat! The pics are awful as you can see there is a crack in camera I will try to upload better pictures asap...... I brought this as a project about 6 months ago And I have started the majority of the work.... I have completed the main structural jobs.... Such as  Cut and remove 90% of the reinforcing timbers, which are fibreglassed into the bottom of the hull.  To give it more rigid strength. So I Grinded all the inside of the hull and fitted brand new timbers and cross beams  and fibreglassed them back into the hull.... Which was a filthy job and got through a lot of materials.... Over £350 on epoxy alone... The original timber floor in the wheelhouse had rotted and collapsed, and the timber floor in the aft cabin had also rotted... Front sections are in small panels and are in good condition. All rotten broken timbers and floor were replaced with good quality ply And fitted with all new timber bearers.... Front of the boat still has the large double bed at the bow. Which converts to two singles. Also has its original dining seats and table. Which convert to another double bed. Also has a toilet and stainless steel wash hand basin. Then you go up 2 steps  Into the wheelhouse.... Which is very spacious with a removable roof  Which would make a lovely dining room and plenty of space to seat 8 people spaciously ........................ All original dials and controls are all still fitted to the boat  Although I exspect the condition of it is very poor  Down another 2 steps  Into the aft cabin  Which is a lovely spacious double cabin  Which would give you plenty of seating space plus king size bed..... With also plenty of room for storage And bedside sink unit and wardrobe... Further back from this in a separate sealed compartment is the engine room Which originally held two Perkins Diesel engines  On outdrives  These had been removed along time ago..... Therefore I was going to convert the rear transom to a outboard mounting as you have a 4 knot speed limit up most rivers and inland water ways.... So running two inboard Diesel engines would be costly and pointless.... By fitting the outboard it would be much easier to maintain much easier to convert  This would also be completely silent inside the boat And you would gain 5ft long by full beam of the boat of very good usable storage space........ Therefore you would have more room for water tanks storage tanks  Boat washing machine freezer etc......... Access to engine room is via 2 massive hatches on the rear deck of the boat..... Which you then step down into the engine room  Hatches are not in photos but I do have them !!!!! I just took them home to do a small repair which has been done to them... The water in engine bay has been there a week  Due to tarp blowing off All together it is a great boat  Just needs finishing off  Needs bed in rear cabin finishing off  Seating area making in wheelhouse  New galley fitting Rest is just paining cleaning and millions of odd jobs  Just to summarise  Boat is 33ft  Wide beam Boat has a removalable wheel house roof which is ultra light weight designed for going under bridges Boat has aft cabin Boat is designed as a 6 berth Which you could make more if you design wheel house correctly  Boat has large separate engine room no noises or smells into rest of boat Bags of storage space Boat is made of thick fibreglass.... Hi Unfinished project, needs a new cab build from marine ply or removed altogether. It is a solid hull and outdrive. the engine is ford pinto with petrol tank. This is a very strong hull which is in my mind a great quality fibreglass very much like the superb "Shakespeare" boats from years ago = probably one of the strongest hulls ever to be produced it has at present a hole in the transom where a Volvo Penta 270 "Z drive" was fitted however the previous owner removed it and never got around to replacing it and so it could have another fitted or I have considered reducing the 2 inch thick transom in order to fit a large outboard engine = see my other adverts =Penta 45 long shaft +electric start +controls and fuel tank= good runner+ recent service,I would consider a sensible offer for all three as a project ??= try me As it is now it has had a first class job done of new floor fibreglassed in which also provides a bouyancy area which would be important in case of it overturning also there is a steering wheel and cable which works The "break back"trailer is almost completely Overhauled and refurbished including the brakes stripped and cleaned out the wheel bearings checked and greased together with refurbished mud guards and all " u bolts" replaced with new galvanised ones a new winch strap(as opposed to cables) all parts wire brushed and then painted with Hammerite and two off as new tyres =165x13.
