HONEST ADVERT: NO NOVICES PROJECT OR COMPANION With a heavy heart I offer my boy for sale. 6 y/o 14.2 cob gelding, true gentleman on the ground. The most beautiful temperament and loves a cuddle. Brilliant with the farrier and dentist, loves a bath / groom and stands to be clipped. Comes to call. Great to lead not strong or bolshy, never reared bitten or kicked. Passported and chipped. Everything up to date. He would make the perfect companion and while he is currently stabled at night he will happily live out. Very easy to keep and not fussed either way.:-) Ridden he needs a confident, experienced rider with knowledge of youngsters as he is a real worrier in our school. He is very nervous and will rush or buck under the saddle if he's unsure what's being asked. Benefits from being lunged lightly beforehand. After a few minutes and some reassurance he calms down and he tries his best. Forward going. He will pop a small jump. He would benefit from a routine if you choose to bring him back into work. Very lovely iron/dapple grey mare, quiet, good bone. Stands about 16.2, turned five early September. Bought wild from a herd as a project, but just dont have the time to break/bring on. Bought specifically to do side saddle and three day event with. Now halter broken, used to daily stable life, will lead, have rugs on, (still working on back feet) not a mean horse, always the lowest in the herd despite her size!! Alfie 15.2hh Fresian x TB between 5-7years old Dark brown/black Alfie is for sale as a project as he was advertised as a riding and quiet and was only unsuitable for novices because he was earshy but unfortunately that was not true. Alfie's good points: • He is a beautiful boy with lovely paces, as seen through lunging. • He can be very gentle in the stable and loves a cuddle • Loves to be groomed and pampered • Has great prospect with the right home • He is a lovely character and really wants to try and please and be gentle Alfies riding history: • When viewing Alfie, excuses were made about a saddle not being available and so on, so I did not see him ridden. But I was shown pictures and a very short video. When trying to ride him at current yard, he wouldn't stand at the mountain block and when getting on, I was barely in the saddle before he bolted off and bronced me off. This happened another time before I got a second opinion and it was found that at the time he had sore back but since then he has had his teeth, back, tack and feet checked and he is sound. I haven't however tried to ride him as he has shattered my confidence. Other information: • Alfie can be very strong and will take advantage sometimes. • He is very spooky and wary of his surroundings. • He has seperation anxiety and will act up if left alone in a field or if he can not see other horses. Alfie needs an experienced, knowledgeable, forever home with someone who can give him the time, patience and dedication to take him right back to basics. It was thought that the problems that Alfie has, has been through his previous homes. Since being injured from being thrown off and just not having the knowledge, I cannot give him the home he needs.
