For sale is my EHX Octavix pedal. It is an octave fuzz pedal, the idea is to replicate some of those sounds on old Hendrix records. In fact I think I read somewhere that it is based on an old EHX pedal he used but just rebranded/reboxed etc... Although it is alot of fun I don't really have much use for it, and thus I'm selling after less than a year (it was an impulse buy). It is in excellent condition, like new, hasn't left the house or been gigged etc, probably only used at home a handful of times. If you are into your fuzz sounds then you will love this. It has two modes, one of which gives you a tighter sound, and the cool thing is you can use it as just a fuzz, just an octave, or both. You can blend how prominent the octave signal is, choose how extreme you want the fuzz to be, and of course your volume. A good way to use it would probably be to set your balance of octave and fuzz (I recommend octave all the way up) and then set the volume so you get a bit of a boost for your solos. The octave is one octave up by the way, not below. Here is the official blurb from EHX: Octavix delivers the definitive late ’s fuzzed out, octave up sound together with modern enhancements that update the classic concept. Housed in EHX’s rugged nano package, the Octavix features Volume, Boost and Octave knobs. Volume regulates the output level of the pedal. Fulltone USA Ultimate Octave Pedal. Basically Josh Homme in a box, which is never a bad thing. This pedal has an excellent reputation and is now discontinued and highly sought after. I've owned this pedal for a few years after I purchased from a friend. From the very faint writing on the back it looks like this pedal was manufactures in . As you'd expect for a pedal that's a decade old, there's some scuffs and marks as per the pictures. Something to be especially mindful of, is that the back of the pedal is setup for pedalboard use. Therefore there are no rubber feat, and access to the battery compartment is secured by 2 screws and washers. There's also new velco pads in place. Please do not purchase unless this is satisfactory to you. Neither myself or the person I bought from have gigged with this pedal, but can't speak for the original owner. The pedal is in full working order, and sounds awesome. Fulltone USA build their pedals like tanks. I've recently switched to a PC effects/amp simulator which does for me, so no longer have a use for this. UK Mainland and Paypal only.
