Beautiful patina, more than 60 years old.This superb original composition is from the "Book of the Kings", and illustrates the legend of "ISFANDIAR" hunting the wolf (here, alongside two deer inside a central medallion).The rim of the medallion consists of interlacing birds escaping from the upper and lower pendants. Four "PHOENIXES" swirl around this medallion, leaving behind them a plume of Chinese clouds (or "Tchi-Tchi")A pair of "SIMURGH" (mythical birds) watch the heir of the dynasty from the upper corners. The lower corners show a panther hunting a deer.A slight "abrash", at the top of the navy blue part between the two "Simurghs", gives the impression of a skyline.The range of colours is rich and harmonious with 10 shades: Navy blue, sky blue, mahogany, ecru, beige, brown, khaki, fuchsia, green and light grey..This is an exceptional piece for professional or amateur collectors of authentic items.
