This excellent Claremont upright piano has been restored to a high standard, springs and tapes renewed throughout, the hammer refaced, dampers recovered, the keys, bridges, soundboard and pedal system overhauled. Should have a life of 50 years! The responsive underdamper action is of the sort that will take a student through all of the grades. It was was regulated to establish an even medium-light touch. This piano has a glowing tone and has been tuned to concert pitch. The ebony case, measuring 147 cm wide by 123 high by 63 deep has been repolished in French polish. I am selling this piano as I have moved into a 3 storey house and cannot get it up the stairs. My piano tuner sourced this piano for me after my old piano finally gave up. It came from a school who were upgrading their music equipment and so was free subject to me arranging the collection and I am offering the same deal. Having come from a school the body work has been a bit damaged but the sound quality is great and once tuned will be back to its original sound. New, at today's prices, this Yamaha G2 grand would cost the equivalent of more than £. It is a seriously good piano. The G2 grand is from the top of the Yamaha G series and is recognised worldwide as being one of the finest pianos in its class. It is 5'8" long (172 cm). Finished in stunning high-gloss black, it is a lovely instrument and a fine piece of furniture. There is no damage anywhere and it would not look out of place in a showroom. The inside and the keys are immaculate. I could describe its medium touch and powerful Yamaha medium to bright tone and how it is clear and powerful in the base and bell-like in the treble and that the action is precise and clean but I would urge anyone interested in buying it to come and judge it for themselves. Yamaha pianos are played by the some of the best players in the world. In every way, this is a professional instrument. The cost of delivery would depend upon how far it would have to be transported but if the buyer was not too far away, the cost would be included. It's a very good piano at a very good price. David
