This is a used rug; these often become more beautiful and richer in character as a result of the natural ageing process.Berber rugs are made by the Berbers, who live in Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria. The patterns are often simple geometrical figures and stair-like patterns and sometimes you can see details of flora and fauna. The most common colours are hues of beige and brown.Berber carpets are made of unspun wool and are often naturally coloured on a cotton warp (bobbin thread). The carpets are of thick and heavy quality.
