BENNY - RESCUE NEGLECTED LABRADOR CROSS

BENNY IS A RESCUE DOG. HE IS NOW IN THE CARE OF A YORKSHIRE RESCUE. HE CAME INTO CARE FROM THE STRAY KENNELS WHERE HE WAS VERY UNDERWEIGHT AND NEGLECTED. HE WILL BE CASTRATED PRIOR ADOPTION. HE IS VACCINATED, MICROCHIPPED, TREATED FOR FLEAS AND WORMS. A HOME CHECK AND A VET REFERENCE IS NEEDED TO ADOPT BENNY. WE ENSURE HE FINDS A FOREVER HOME. Benny is very loving. He came into our care from the stray kennels very very underweight. Initially Benny was very nervous and shy and would shake when you approached him. Always hiding in the back of his kennels he has soon learned that coming to the front of the kennel meant he got treats. Benny is 3 years old and sadly has not had the best that life can offer. He needs to be an only dog in the home as he can be a little dominant and unsure. He has recently been rehomed with a female dog and they played and were OK initially but Benny was too dominant towards her as he settled in the home. He goes out walking with other dogs and seems happy when out walking although he can be unsure and reactive when approached by new dogs. He is happy with the dogs he knows. Benny is therefore looking for an understanding home that can help him socialise more and overcome his fears. He is a stunning, very affectionate sweet boy that loves people and cuddles. He is looking for a loving home that is not too busy and as an only dog. THE HOME HE NEEDS Benny is making progress and now out walking with other dogs and very happy. He is accepting of the dogs he knows on his walks, especially the ladies. He loves a fuss and a cuddle and will benefit from a home that is not busy where he can feel safe and calm. A home where he will have company and where he will not be left for long hours. Benny will need plenty of walks and exercise and someone dedicated to making sure he feels safe. Benny is best suited in a home as an only dog where he will be spoiled rotten and live a contented life.
