Click here to view this lot German officers’ Sabre Wehrmacht, WW2. In a rare good condition! Sheath of iron with 1 carrying ring, in a very good condition, black-colour steel with some signs of age. The handle is also still with the original wire winding, which is completely intact. (This is often damaged or restored) Also includes the portepee The cross-guard bears the engraved initials CE.The blade is in very good condition, no rust or spots, but very nice shiny steel. The gilding is slightly darkened but the handle still looks very good, without any damage, which is true for nearly the entire sabre. It is a very beautiful sabre, as rarely seen.
