Pre WW2 RFC/RAF GIPSY MOTH PROPELLER Wooden
This is a wooden photo frame, carved in one piece from a De Havilland Gipsy Moth propeller. My father, who was an engineer in the RFC/RAF and worked on these and other planes during WW1 and in the inter-war years, would have carved this out in his spare time. It's his writing on the base with the inscription "Gipsy Moth Propeller" It stands 20cms tall and 16cms at it's widest point. There's a small nick (1.5cms max) - see pic -in the top L/H corner but it's not too obvious as the frame has lots of different carved shapes and angles. A photo frame that's a bit different. *Overseas buyers please ask postage rates before bidding
