This is a Raleigh Palm Beach mens bike with alloy moustache handlebars. It needs restoration although it works with cable brakes and a sturmey archer 3 speed. It is a 'sound' bike but the frame needs repainting and the mudguards etc so not a jump on and go bike but a restoration project. The handlebars are worth more than the bike! and the saddle is good. Lovely frame, with mixte geometry and curved stays. Classy, elegant and very retro. Nice bright blue colour. Moustache handlebars, so French. Plenty of accessories: full lenght mudguards, chainguard, bell, kickstand, dynamo lights, rear pannier rack, etc. All you need for your commute. Mechanically is a true French bike from the era too: 650b wheels, 4 speed setup, cottered cranks, etc. It is a lovely bike to ride. Comfortable but faster than it looks really, and very practical. Fully serviced in July, including new bearings, new cables, new rear tyre (Schwalbe Marathon, top quality), new chain etc... ready to go, just cycle away. Even dynamo lights work! Cosmetically it is not perfect, as expected in a 40 years old bike. There are scratches in frame, marks and other wear and tear commensurate with age. It is still looking so charming and nice, BUT if you are looking for an excellent cosmetic condition then this is NOT for you. Overall, a really unique vintage bike, in excellent working order. Lovely, unique vintage bike. Peugeot mixte frame from the 80s, in a very nice aquamarine colour. Very retro and elegant. Single speed setup. Forget about complicated shifting or chains coming off. This is simple and reliable. Upright cycling position, really comfy to ride. Serviced for the sale including: - New Schwalbe tyres, puncture protected. - New saddle. - New bar tape. - New brake cables. - New freewheel. - Headset and bottom bracket serviced. Everything works as it should, just cycle away. Smooth, fun to ride and faster than it looks really. As normal in a vintage bike cosmetically it is not perfect. Absolutely beautiful Dutch bike. Large frame, only for people over 5 7". REAL vintage Dutch bicycle, made in Holland, Eminent brand, very rare, you won't find another like this. Lovely original condition. Charming, elegant retro looks. It looks fantastic in that lovely green colour with brown bits. 3 speed Sachs Torpedo, German shifting. Front "standard" brake and rear coaster brake, as it couldn't be otherwise in a Dutch bike. Serviced for the sale with new brown Schwalbe tyres (excellent quality, puncture protected), new brake cable, new saddle, chain lubricated. REady to go, just cycle away. It is very smooth, really comfortable and sure footed. Exactly for what Dutch bikes are famous for. Full of accessories: full enclosed chainguard, mudguards, bell, side stand, rear carrier and lock for rear wheel (with original key!). Please note that it is 40 yeas old. Whilst in excellent cosmetic and mechanic condition for age, it is not perfect: some scratches, pitting in chrome, etc. If you are looking for a pristine "brand new condition" bike this is not for you. Vintage Road Bike, 24" steel frame and brand new tyres. I bought this bike for riding in Faversham when at the inlaws however it's just a little bit on the small side. I'm 6.3 and it's ever so slightly too small. Would be perfect for anyone . I have just had 2x brand new Shwalbe Lugano tyres and 2 x brand new inner tubes fitted at £50. These have only done 2 miles from the bike shop (The Freewheeler) to my inlaws house. I am not making any profit on the bike and just after what it owes me back.
