Very beautiful and expressive sculpture/bust of the Italian General Giuseppe Garibaldi.Made of zamak (zinc alloy), with the original gold lacquer colouring/surface.The sculpture is mounted on a blackened wooden base.With text on the pedestal Garibaldi, see photo 2.Size of the whole is 21 by 9.5 by 7 cm.Total weight is 490 grams.Dates back to circa , origin is France/Italy.It is in a very nice condition, some wear on the gold lacquer.Patina surface looks nice and worn.Giuseppe Garibaldi (Nice, 4 July – Caprera, 2 June ) was an Italian general, politician and nationalist, who played a large role in the history of Italy. Along with Camillo Cavour, Victor Emmanuel II of Italy and Giuseppe Mazzini, he is considered as one of the ‘fathers of the homeland'. Garibaldi played a central role during the Italian unification.
