Beautiful Antique Oval Gold Gilt Bevel Edge Mirror - Rarely Available, Rarely available - this beautiful old mirror has been in our family for more than 75 years, and is still in the same condition as when it was bought from auction back then. I'm not sure exactly which period it is from, but it is certainly very old. It has been used as an over-mantle mirror for the majority of the time we have owned it, but looks the part wherever it is hung. Sadly, yet another house move and needing space now forces it's reluctant sale.We had a quote to completely restore the mirror's gold gilt frame back to it's original glory a few years ago, which was much less costly than we'd imagined, but decided we preferred it's battle scars, otherwise we'd have bought a cheap Shabby Chic mirror - to each their own.
