16hh bay gelding ex racehorse for sale £600

I am selling my 16hh, 11 year old bay gelding. He was a successful sprinter. I have had him for just over a year now. He is a real gentleman on the ground with a lovely temperament, and is very easy to do. He is a blank canvas so would make someone a lovely project. I have only hacked him around the lanes but as he is such an easy horse to do, I think he would be willing to try something new. He is good to shoe, clip, catch etc and will hack alone but prefers company as used to being out with a string of horses when in training. He is 100% in traffic, lorries, tractors etc. When hacking alone, he does tend to neigh for the first few minutes but soon settles down, and for this reason I would prefer him to go to someone who has experience of thoroughbreds. He is up to date with his vaccinations and worming. I haven't ridden him for a couple of months now so he has had his shoes removed, so will be sold from the field. At the moment he is turned out by day and in at night. He has a companion pony and I think this definately keeps him settled when turned out. Read More

We are sadly having to sell our ponies due to my ill health and them being wasted. Here we have for sale on outstanding young man with loads of potential aims to please in all ways. I would say an ideal second pony for the more advanced rider as can be a little green at times nothing stupid just a little bit sharp, however stick him on the lead rain and he turnes in to a dope on a rope!!! Is no problem with other ponies hacks out alone or in company. Will stand to be brushed, and fussed all day good with farrier, catch, and clip has always been bare foot and sound. 14hh Bay Gelding 18 Year Old Pony For Sale in Colchester

Our adorable pony is well schooled, has great paces is easy to ride and is for sale due to being outgrown by my daughter. He has many years left in him and looks amazing. He really is up for anything, he is excellent in the heaviest of traffic including lorries, double deckers, combine harvesters, skip lorries etc. He hacks alone perfectly either by himself or with company, he competes regularly and does well in Working Hunter Classes, Showing, Xcountry, Showjumping, Dressage, Hunter trials, Long Distant rides, ODE and has been attending PC for the last three years including rallies and 4 day camp and area dressage. Currently jumping any height up to 2'6" maximum. Happy to go through water. Happy to be first or last. He will stand tied up to a trailor all day or can be happily left inside a trailor at shows. He always does well at shows and in the ribbons. Happy to be ridden bareback. He is excellent to catch, trim, pulling mane, bath, lunge, load, clip, worm, farrier and is up to date with worming, teeth, vaccinations and back. He does not barge and is happy to be sprayed with flyspray etc. Lives in or out alone or in company with mares or geldings. Happy to be in a stable on straw or shavings. Happy to have dry or wet hay. He has front shoes on every 5-6 weeks to keep his toes short. Has not lost a shoe since we have owned him. Excellent with electric fencing. He does not particularly like his girth being done up but if you speak to him before you do it he is usually fine. Brilliant with sheep chickens dogs etc. He is looking for a confident lightweight adult / child / teenager to enjoy his fun loving, cheeky character. I have also ridden him but I am too heavy. I am 5'6" and easily suits my height as he is a hunter type. His breeding is unknown. He can be a novice ride on the lead rein as my Daughter started off on the lead rein with him but would not suit a total novice off the read rein as he can be a bit cheeky and put in the odd titchy little buck which is easy to sit and not nasty in anyway (he would not do this with an adult or teenager). He is very happy to adapt to the level of any rider. He has been part of our life for 3 years and the previous owner for 10years (we still keep in contact with them). Have loads of photos and videos. I am genuinely an honest person and keep in contact with our last pony that we sold three years ago and would like to do the same with whoever buys our lovely Brambles. He comes with a very good quality snaffle bridle, saddle, rugs etc. He has slight arthritis in his near fore foot but does not normally need any treatment and this does not affect him. He would also be perfect for a mother / daughter share or an adult who wants to have fun hacking and having a go at anything as he can carry up to stone. Happy to answer any questions at all but hopefully I have detailed everything in this advert This is a very difficult decision for my 11 year old daughter. I am looking for someone who would like to ride my 14HH pony twice a week. He is 22 years old but don't be put off by that as he has lots of energy. He is stabled and kept in Pinkneys Green in Maidenhead. He is lovely to hack and can be ridden in the school but he prefers hacking.
