A tailgate guard prevents your dog from jumping out of the vehicle when you open the tailgate. This BARJO dog guard originally fitted a Volkswagen Estate. When I purchased my Reg) estate, I had the guard professionally altered so it would fit my new car. The foam,which can be seen round the edge of the guard, was put on so there would be no chafing on my new car. It covers the metal surround of the guard. The guard has a removeable door and is plenty large enough for my German Shepherd to jump through into the rear of the estate. When purchased previously the guard was in excess of £250. I would prefer collection in person but would be willing to courier the guard to you for the additional cost of delivery.
