This solid, stylish, handmade outdoor furniture are crafted at my workshop in North London (Building Bloqs a social enterprise) from sustainable, reclaimed wood, sourced throughout East and North London. They feature mid century style steel hairpin legs in black. The surface has also been treated to make it weather proof for outdoor use. The matching benches fit snugly under the table to save space. It'll fit 5 people comfortably or 6 at a push. The dimensions for the table in the pictures are: Length: 160cm Width: 88cm Height: 76cm Dimensions not quite right? Let me know and I can build one to your requirements. I can also fit with copper finish legs or almost any other colour. The wood can also be made lighter or darker to suit whatever you have in mind. As this is made from reclaimed European spruce, each piece has dints, cracks, uneven wood and its own unique character and patina. This, to my mind is what makes them beautiful objects. I also make other pieces of furniture in a similar style, so please just ask and I can often build what you need. Specifications Ground preparation and foundations Timber / composite frame An effective and low impact option that can be built on immediately. We can use a composite alternative to timber, or traditional concrete. Framework structure / Walls Our standard wall construction uses 95mm x 45mm pressure treated timber. Lintels On spans up to 2.5m we use 2 x 195mm x 45mm pressure treated structural timbers bolted together. Roof joists We use 195mm x 45mm joists cut to the required gradient at 600mm centres or 400mm centres when additional roof loads are expected. Exterior Building frameworks are wrapped with 11mm OSB 3, a structural timber sheet which adds both rigidity to the frame. Roof structures are covered by 18mm OSB before roof finishes are applied. Buildings are wrapped with a breathable membrane and cladding is applied or upvc. Roof EPDM rubber sheet. It is perfectly suited to a timber building EPDM boasts a 50 year life expectancy or can use standard felt option. Interior standard we use between 70mm and 90mm of PIR foam insulation in the ceiling and 40mm-50mm in the floor. Walls are filled with 100mm of high-density acoustic eco wool. Internal floor The floor structure is made up of 45mm pressure treated timber joists and 18mm OSB or T&G floor boards. Walls / ceilings All walls and ceilings can be plaster boarded using 12.5mm plasterboard which is then double skimmed leaving a perfectly smooth surface.
